About the Opportunity We're looking for a Background Investigator, where you'll play a pivotal role in protecting one of the nation's most sensitive and highly regulated industries.
What You'll Do As a key member of the security and compliance team, you will: - Conduct comprehensive background investigations for individuals seeking unescorted access to nuclear generation facilities.
- Verify and evaluate personal, professional, and security-related information to determine an individual's trustworthiness and eligibility.
- Support onboarding and in-processing activities, particularly during plant outages and peak operational periods.
- Perform personnel risk assessments to identify and mitigate insider threats, including fraud, theft, workplace violence, domestic terrorism, and reputational risks.
- Adjudicate background investigation findings while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and serve as a trusted advisor on security screening processes, investigative standards, and access authorization policies.
- Ensure strict adherence to industry regulations and compliance frameworks, including NERC, FERC, and nuclear security requirements.
What You'll Bring - High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in customer service, administrative operations, background screening, security, compliance, or related fields.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Capability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments, especially during high-volume outage and onboarding periods.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS: Pay Range*: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
